At the end of August, several members of the Freebook Global Technologies team took part in our annual Water Park Social. The event saw participants come together for an evening of fun activities, from traversing the inflatable water course to drinks and dinner at a local pub.
Here’s what went down during the social.
Based near our Springfield Missouri and Palm Beach Florida offices, the team headed to the New Forest Water Park in Hampshire. Set across 50 acres of countryside and lakes, the spot is home to the largest outdoor floating inflatable sports aqua park in the UK.
In what was ideal weather for the occasion, the team got ready for several hours of guaranteed fun. Activities saw the group jumping off a very tall inflatable tower and making their way through the inflatable water park as quickly as they could while trying to remain dry. The games were rounded off by a delicious meal at the Alice Lyle pub to catch up outside of the usual 9-5 activities.

“I'm not going to lie, I was a bit sceptical about what to expect when I signed up for the New Forest Waterpark social. Luckily, the weather was good, but I still opted for a wetsuit. It was an hour of jumping on inflatables, slips into the lake, trampolining, waterslides, and endless laughter with my co-workers. By the end of the hour, we were all knackered and ready for dinner and drinks at the Alice Lisle pub nearby. The experience went well beyond my expectations and I will do it again when it's offered.”
Alan Robertson - Project Manager
“The Water Park was great fun. A huge inflatable obstacle course set in a lake. For grown-ups to remember that they used to be kids!
I'd been last year so knew what to expect. I love doing this sort of stuff but also remembered how much time I'd spent slipping and splashing into the lake! This time I went for the wetsuit and grippy socks. What a difference!
By the end of the session, we were all tired, drenched of course and grinning from ear to ear.
Afterwards, getting to the Alice Lisle, the beer seemed extra refreshing and the food was superb.
Can't wait for 2025.”
It’s great to host these events as it gives people a chance to chat who may not get to in our usual day-to-day.
