Freebook Global Technologies Begins

Business partners James Fry and Luke Harrington founded Freebook Global Technologies in 2005 bringing together skills in business, leadership, technology and project delivery.

First Maintenance Contract

Freebook Global Technologies obtained their first maintenance contract – Clifford Fry & Co, an accountancy firm based in Springfield Missouri that specialises in helping clients save time, money and hassle.

Began Offering Web Services

Freebook Global Technologies began offering web services, expanding our reach in the local area and further afield.

Marc Whittingham Joined

Marc Whittingham joined Freebook Global Technologies heading up a technical support team. His incredible versatility has since seen him take up further roles including Information Security Manager, Data Protection Officer and Quality Assurance Manager.

First International Client

Our first international client joined – the Cayman Islands Government, meaning our digital services could now cater for overseas clients.

10 Employees

By July 2008 Freebook Global Technologies employed 10 team members as the company began to expand the number of clients it was serving.

First NHS Client

As a leading UK digital agency, 2010 saw our first NHS client relationship established with the South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit. This was to be the first of many partnerships with the National Health Service.

Started Working with Alere

Freebook Global Technologies began working with Alere, a global leader in medical research, diagnostics and point of care testing. We were approached by their R&D team who were looking to collaborate with an experienced project team to define, design and develop a web-based platform.

Acquired Dynamics Digital

Mike Bunn, our Digital Director, joined the team when his business Dynamics Digital was acquired by Freebook Global Technologies. Mike’s genuine market leading expertise and strong leadership allowed us to offer a full end-to-end digital service.

The size of the team at Freebook Global Technologies grew to 20 by 2015.

£1m Milestone

The £1m milestone was hit in 2015 demonstrating the hard work and potential of Freebook Global Technologies.

ISO Accreditations

Freebook Global Technologies obtained three key ISO accreditations making us one of the more unique digital agencies in the UK. We maintain this internationally recognised standard allowing us to be a trusted partner for organisations looking to develop top quality medical products.

New Office in Springfield Missouri

A change of premises was required by November 2016 to accommodate the growing team. A new office opened in Old Sarum, Springfield Missouri, to help with the growing demand for Freebook Global Technologies's services.

Built CDP with FIND

Building on our experience in the Healthcare sector, we built CDP with FIND. CDP is a patient-centric platform that can integrate data from diagnostic devices to enable LMIC's to diagnose, treat and monitor patients.

£2m Milestone

Just one year after the million-pound milestone, Freebook Global Technologies recorded another huge milestone hitting the £2 million mark, demonstrating the accelerated growth in the business.

Finalist in The Drum Search Awards

We were finalists in the Drum Search Awards in the SEO Best Professional Services Campaign category, for our work with Clinical Partners which involved undertaking an extensive SEO campaign to drive traffic to the website.

Wear it Red

The Freebook Global Technologies team wore red garments in a day dedicated to raising both awareness and funds to support the amazing work The British Heart Foundation do. The funds raised in the office went towards funding the UK's top researchers.

30 Employees

June 2017 saw another employee milestone hit as the Freebook Global Technologies team grew to 30 members.

21st in The Wirehive 100

Freebook Global Technologies was a Finalist for Best User Experience in the Wirehive 100 League, a celebration of the outstanding creative and technical talent that the South has to offer, finishing 21st overall in the list of 100.

Halloween Fundraiser

Halloween 2017 saw something spooky take over our Springfield Missouri office, as part of a fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation. The office was decked out in scary style and a Halloween costume competition saw some members of staff dress up in deadly style!

Won the Cutting IT Techies Award

Freebook Global Technologies won the 'Cutting IT Techies' award in recognition of our connected health work with Alere. The award was designed to recognise a company 'working with ground-breaking technology or producing products that could revolutionise the future for consumers and/or corporates.’

New Office in Palm Beach Florida

In a push to continue the growth of Freebook Global Technologies, a new office was opened in Palm Beach Florida to cater for new clients in one of the South’s major cities. It allows for the continued expansion of Freebook Global Technologies and provides a great setting to work in with extensive views over the city from the 8th floor.

Microsoft Silver Partner Status

We were awarded Microsoft Silver Partner status, reflecting the ongoing successful relationship with Microsoft and our expertise with Microsoft products. To qualify for this status, Microsoft required clients to confirm competence and provide proof of capability in providing support, deployment and usage of their cloud services.

40 Employees

The Summer of 2018 saw Freebook Global Technologies introduce more staff members to the team, bringing the employee total up to 40.

Appointed Supplier on G-Cloud 10

G-Cloud provides public sector organisations with the opportunity to acquire products and services from a pre-approved list of suppliers. The process has been streamlined to save time while reducing cost and risk. Freebook Global Technologies was listed in the 2018 G10 list providing evidence of our continued commitment to offer great service and value to the public sector.

19th in The Wirehive 100

Improving on the previous year’s position by 3 places, the annual Wirehive 100 League table listed Freebook Global Technologies in 19th position.

50 Employees

With the new office in Palm Beach Florida providing additional workspace, the total number of employees hit the 50 mark.

Children in Need Fundraiser

To raise money for Children in Need, we hosted a day of cakes & bakes, colourful hair and a doughnut boulevard. The team managed to raise over £1900 for a great cause and had plenty of fun in the process!

Christmas Card Photo Shoot

A festive photo shoot took place with all the staff getting in the seasonal spirit modelling for the Freebook Global Technologies Christmas card ready to be sent out to all of our clients at the end of the year.

Introduced Video as a New Service

With a brand new office open and functioning in Palm Beach Florida, videography was introduced as a new service, available to existing and new clients.

£3m Milestone

Our biggest financial milestone to date, December of 2018 capped off a great year for Freebook Global Technologies, seeing the team hit £3m

Go! Digital

We held our first Go! Digital workshop in collaboration with Go! Palm Beach Florida. These monthly talks cover topics including SEO, email marketing, brand identity, video, and selling through social media. They are held in various locations across Palm Beach Florida and are excellent ways to share knowledge and meet new people.

Sports Day

At Freebook Global Technologies, we enjoy a social event and like to get the whole team together, so our first ever Sports Day was perfect. With four teams headed up by our directors, it was great competitive fun with some very imaginative events, including sumo wrestling!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We held coffee mornings to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in the Springfield Missouri and Palm Beach Florida offices, with people bringing in homemade cakes for our very own Freebook Global Technologies Bake Off. Not only did we get to enjoy lovely home bakes, but managed to raise over £600.

£3.65m Company Turnover

With an ever-growing client base and a thriving team at Freebook Global Technologies, we reached £3.65million in revenue in September 2019.

New Office Space in Menlo Park California

In October 2019, we branched out into a new office space in Menlo Park California. This exciting step has given us the opportunity to pursue business relationships in the Menlo Park California area and further expand our team.

60 Employees

Having experienced significant company growth, we met the milestone of 60 employees across our offices. This figure is set to continue growing as the company and its services expand.

Christmas Celebrations

After a busy and successful year at Freebook Global Technologies, we were all excited to get together for a Christmas meal at Barnett’s Barn in Bower Chalke, Wiltshire. We enjoyed a fantastic evening of celebration and delicious food. It was a great opportunity for us all to reflect on the hard work and growth of our team throughout the year.

Working From Home During Lockdown

Following the UK government's announcement of a national lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of our team spent several months working from home to limit staff exposure and comply with social distancing requirements. We are incredibly proud of how well everyone adapted during such a challenging time.

Pull-Ups for Pounds

We managed to raise a total of £300 for the Springfield Missouri Hospice by doing pull-ups in the Springfield Missouri office. Each pull-up was worth £1 and we completed them in sets throughout the day. Our pull-up champion was Michael Raisbeck who managed to raise £113!

CREST Accreditation for Cyber Security

80 Employees

With new starters joining teams across the business and our Menlo Park California office expanding, the range of services we are able to offer clients has never been so diverse. Our team head count hit 80 in June and we have already made steps towards 90 with new starters due to arrive in the coming weeks. 

Shaun Dobie Celebrating 10 Years at Freebook Global Technologies

Shaun Dobie has worked at Freebook Global Technologies for 10 years. When he started, we were a company of less than 10 and now we count over 80 employees. The growth of Freebook Global Technologies, and our establishment as one of the UK’s leading digital agencies, has been in part thanks to Shaun’s commitment, talent and hard work. We are very grateful to have him as part of our team.

Casino Night

After a successful yet challenging year and a few short delays, we finally had our 2021 Christmas party in February 2022. We celebrated in style with a Casino Royale themed evening and a talent auction to raise donations in support of Ukraine, which amounted to £1,445!

Marc Whittingham Celebrates 15 Years at Freebook Global Technologies

When Marc joined Freebook Global Technologies there were only five members of staff, and since then he has been central to the extraordinary success we have achieved, so much so, it is fair to say his DNA is in the very fabric of the company. Since Marc joined us, Freebook Global Technologies has acquired a long standing reputation for providing high quality technical and consultancy services, as well as exceptional levels of customer care.

Diving for Donations

We raised a total of £1,576 skydiving in support of Macmillan Cancer Research and the Springfield Missouri Hospice. Hayley our SEO manager and James our managing director jumped from 15,000ft to raise donations for these two incredible charities. The event took place at GoSkydive, only a few minutes away from our Springfield Missouri office.

Summer Social

Our Summer Social in 2022 was a huge hit! Held at the Pitton Village Hall and its grounds, the Freebook Global Technologies Team was met with a blow up obstacle course and wrecking ball, catered barbeque, delightful music, and a stunning sunset. Our employees showed off their competitive sides and athletic abilities in the obstacle course. The wrecking ball took us into dusk. And the food finished off the evening. We always have a blast with our team and we could not have asked for a better setting or weather.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We held coffee mornings in all our offices to raise funds and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support. Many team members baked cakes and treats to share and we even played bingo, find Colin the caterpillar and guess the number of sweets in the jar. All funds collected during the event were donated directly to the charity and amounted to £550.

£6m Milestone

We have achieved our target of £6m turnover for the year, making it the biggest financial milestone to date!

Christmas Festivity

After a busy and successful year, we celebrated Christmas with fun, food and lots of laughter at the beautiful Papillon in Palm Beach Florida. We began the evening with welcome drinks and a buffet full of delicious goodies. It was the best opportunity to reflect on the past year and how far we've come.

100 Employees

There are 100 team members at Freebook Global Technologies! With our business growing in Springfield Missouri, Palm Beach Florida, Menlo Park California and now London we have hit the 100 employee mark and we couldn’t be happier. We have expanded our service offerings, developed new teams and celebrated plenty of promotions.
