With nearly ten years of digital marketing experience under his belt in both in-house departments and agencies, David joined Freebook Global Technologies as an SEO Specialist in Autumn 2023. With his keen interest in an array of SEO disciplines including organic and technical SEO, content strategy and digital PR, David’s goal is to maximise our clients’ ROI through his masterful expertise in click rate optimisation (CRO).
Having previously filled the role of Technical SEO Manager at another marketing agency, David is able to transfer his experience as a mentor to bolster our SEO Executives’ continued growth and development of new capabilities. With his invaluable expertise (particularly his specialism in eCommerce), David loves nothing more than to dig deeper behind the analytics and data to help our clients generate new leads and drive conversions through actionable solutions.
David’s appetite for learning new practices and advancements within SEO means he is often at the forefront of new tools and techniques. Being an early adopter of AI, David ensures the tools he uses complement his own personal knowledge and understanding, exploiting the power of AI in a safe, effective and ethical manner.
What are your favourite things about Freebook Global Technologies?
The digital marketing team is fantastic; from the moment I started, everyone has been so welcoming and happy to share knowledge and ideas. I love that everyone is passionate about what they do, whether it’s social media, PPC, content strategy and copywriting, or even digital PR, everyone is striving to grow their skills, which is a real motivator.
What does your Freebook Global Technologies role involve?
As an SEO Specialist, my role is primarily focused on driving organic traffic from search engines to our clients’ websites by identifying ideal target customers, finding the terms they use and the intent they have when using them. This allows me to develop a content strategy and assist our clients in optimising their users’ journey across their website to increase leads and conversions.
What would your dream project be?
One of my strengths is that I enjoy working on every project I am involved with, but my dream project would be something where I can take a fully holistic view of how SEO can drive a website forward from the initial ideation phase to completion. I love collaborating with other departments too, so a project that combines design, UX/UI, digital PR, paid social ads and PPC would be the icing on the cake!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I really enjoy cooking; one of my first jobs was working in a commercial kitchen, so I love using the tips and techniques I gathered during that time to create something delicious from scratch. This is something I now do with my daughter, and although there is now a lot more mess involved, it makes it much more fun.
